I love being married to Tyler. We met each other my freshman year of college and as the saying goes "sparks flew". But unfortunately, when I say "sparks flew," I really mean it. Tyler and I were both in the same social tribe in college which is pretty much like a sorority (which may be confusing since sororities are for girls). But anyways, Tyler was one of the four boys chosen to be in the tribe. Let's be honest, the girls loved him!
It was Homecoming week at school and it was tradition for all of the girls in my tribe to ride on a fire truck in the Homecoming parade. All of the girls were laughing and having a good time riding through the parade and Tyler was having plenty of fun entertaining everyone. As he made his way through the girls, being sure to flirt with them all, I mean he couldn't leave one out, right? He happened to stop right in front of me. As he did, I looked up and realized that we were quickly approaching a low power line which was about to knock him out. I reacted quickly, while all the girls screamed, and shoved him so that he tripped and landed into my lap (I promised that was not planned!) Not knowing what had happened and feeling like this was not at all how he had planned to impress the ladies, he made a quick recovery and made some cute comment like, "If you wanted to sit close to me, you could have just asked'". I'm sure I laughed at him and gave him some quick witted comment about his over confidence.
About a year passed and Tyler finally asked me out on our first date. We went to dinner and a movie and the rest is history right? Well yes.... after a little on again, off again business. But those are just the minor details! We then dated about three years and he proposed in the most romantic way. We got married on June 27th, 2009 and I have been the happiest girl alive ever since!
